7 Hair Products I'm Crushing On Right Now

7 Hair Products I’m Crushing On Right Now

Lately I’ve been making more of an effort with my hair, which was long overdue, especially as one who has color-treated locks and uses hot styling tools to curl, straighten and dry. It needed some love! Here are some of my current faves.

Ouai Air Dry Foam

It takes forever to dry my hair and I don’t do it every day… so when this product came along, I clicked stat. What is it? A time-saving foam you work into your hair that promises to help you get those beachy waves without drying, curling or braiding. Packed with kale extract, it also conditions and detangles hair. While it won’t of course curl my hair from straight, it helps it to naturally dry into soft waves when I work it in, crunching the hair lightly. It’s a lazy girl’s dream!

VERB Sea Texture Spray

When I do dry my hair and curl it (with a wand), I always use this VERB spray. This is a “texturizing spray that gives hair natural texture, weightless grit, and perfect beachy separation.” I also love VERB’s ghost oil spray, which I use to refresh my hair, especially on days where I use dry shampoo. This is a great set to pick up if you’ve not tried either product separately.

Gisou Honey Infused Hair Oil

This honey-infused hair oil is definitely a luxury. With a natural blend of minerals, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants, it helps give you smoother, deeply conditioned hair. I’ve used it as a pre-styler (after getting out of the shower and before hair drying), as well as a finisher (after hair is dry and done). You can also add a few drops into any hair mask. For those looking for a less pricey option, I also love Ouai’s Rose Hair & Body Oil. It’s a thinner formula, but it’s very nice too and may be ideal for those who have hair with oilier tendencies. I usually switch between them, using each every other time.

Kiehl’s Olive Fruit Oil Deeply Repairative Hair Pak

I’ve been trying a lot of hair masks recently and it’s honestly been tough to figure out which performs best, however, this was an immediate fave. It’s intensely conditioning, creamy and comes in a big, fat tub which is awesome for the price. Formulated with avocado oil, lemon extract and olive fruit oil for a lush, nourishing treatment that moisturizes, strengthens and restores shines to hair.

Living Proof Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo

Can you imagine being without it? Admittedly, it took me awhile to love dry shampoo because I couldn’t find the right one, but once I did, ahhhhhhh… it was a beautiful new world! Not washing my hair every day has helped my hair be healthier, look less frizzy and retain more of its naturally moisturizing oils without looking greasy. I have been using Pillow Proof Blow Dry Extender for awhile and I love it, but just recently gave this Living Proof cult fave a try. It does such a good job of really absorbing oil and odor. While it sprays on whitish, I let it sit for a few minutes and then use a cool hairdryer and brush to dust it off. Hair looks, feels and smells great.

Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

I sort of wish I’d never tried Oribe because I’m quickly getting addicted, wanting more of their hair products… trouble is, they are really pricey. I bought the small version of this texturizing spray because it’s another cult fave I’d heard about and turns out… IT IS FABULOUS. This spray is perfect for when you want to get your glam on. Spritz it on for extra volume and you’ll immediately see a difference. Best of all, it also absorbs oil while creating texture and providing lift. Available in 2.2 oz | 8.5 oz sizes.

Oribe Shampoo

It’s honestly hard to say whether this shampoo rocked my world on its own, or if my hair is looking better these days because of the other products I’m using (many of which are listed above).  But with a $50 price tag for a full-size option (I bought the smallest size), this shampoo is a huge luxury which actually seems to deliver results. I have color-treated hair and this shampoo works to heal and strengthen it. I may use it every other day to prolong what I have, but it’s really working for my hair right now.
