Boone and Helania’s story comes to life in this fourth installment of the Black Dagger Legacy series. Both Boone and Helania are all alone in the world, struggling to find solid ground. I am such a loyal, longtime reader of J.R. Ward—it’s a joy to devour her books, which evoke a wonderful nostalgia. As expected, BLOOD TRUTH delivered, and I loved the suspense and mystery it touted. It was also great to see more of Butch, to see him as the homicide cop he was—so much so that I would love to see more of his investigating in future books!

We see Brothers, we see Bastards, and of course we get to know Helania and Boone as individuals. Boone, in particular, is such an interesting character. He’s both tough and gentle—a true male of worth.

BLOOD TRUTH was the perfect narrative to get us primed for THE SINNER, and I can’t wait to see what happens next!
