During the summer, I crave simple skincare, light makeup and softer pink sheen for lips. I’ve found myself reaching for a select handful of lipsticks over and over again, and wanted to share some of my current faves with you!

NARS VELVET LIP GLIDES IN ROSELAND + PARADISE GARAGE – $26

I love this line altogether, especially the new shades (see blog post on those here). Roseland is a rose blush and Paradise Garage is a soft plum. These are fairly long-lasting (although you might re-apply midday) and have a pretty sheen to them too.

NARS FALBALA – $28

This is such a lovely, shimmery rose lipstick. I’d say it’s pretty light and sheer. I love the color Dolce Vita too.

MAC CREAM IN YOUR COFFEE + COSMO – $18.50

Ahhhh, I love these two lipsticks so much. Creamy, balmy feel with a semi-glossy finish. They feel so good on my lips and are both great mid-tone nudes. Cream In Your Coffee is a mid-tone pink brown and Cosmo is a warm mauve with a satin finish.

PAT MCGRATH MATTETRANCE IN OMI 107 – $38

I pick this one up when I want a little more pigment and a little longer-lasting hue. It’s a pretty mid-tone rose and while this is matte, the formula isn’t drying at all.

TOO FACED POUT ABOUT IT – $22

Beautiful terracotta pink nude that is part of their Natural Nudes line, I picked it up when I bought the eye shadow palette from the same line. This is usually the one I use when I want a nude swipe of color on my lips.

CHARLOTTE TILBURY AMERICAN SWEETHEART – $34

I love this brighter, tawny pink lipstick, it’s part of her K.I.S.S.I.N.G. moisturizing line with a creamy, buildable formula. I usually switch between this hue and cult fave Pillow Talk, which is a Modern Matte in a nude pink.

MARC JACOBS ROLE PLAY – $30

This dusty rose sheer lipstick stays in my purse at all times. I use it A LOT. It just feels so nice and balmy, sooo perfect for Summer. It also has a light vanilla scent!
