2018 was a stellar year for both makeup and skincare and I was lucky enough to try out a bunch of new products. After some thought, I came up with a list of my top ten faves to share with you. Comment with some of your own faves below! ♡
This was a product I fell in love with the more I used it. It touts a nourishing mix of vitamins, ceramides, antioxidants, and gently exfoliating extracts. I love that it’s so versatile—you can use it as a regular mask and wash off, or you can leave on overnight for a shot of hydration, or you can use when you travel. In fact, this is a gamechanger when you travel. Use a bit on the plane (dries clear as you rub it in), and your skin will look fresh, and not puffy or oily when you hit your destination. // BUY IT
I love both the Drunk Elephant moisturizers, but as soon as this launched this year, it became my new daytime go-to. It helps improve skin tone, texture and firmness, and doesn’t feel too light or too heavy. This is a good daytime choice for those looking to incorporate anti-aging products into their regimen. // BUY IT
This isn’t a new 2018 product, but it was a new-to-me product. I love the look of natural skin, but with a little coverage to improve the look of it. I’ve tried a lot of CC creams in the past year, but I keep reaching for this one. I used the oil-free tinted moisturizer during the summer and the original, hydrating formula for winter. I love it. // BUY IT
This rosy mauve liquid lipstick from Fenty is everything. The prettiest shade, soft matte finish, staying power, and not drying. I love it and feel like it’s a color that’s universally flattering. Use just a little, you don’t need much to last you the day. // BUY IT
These lip balms are so fabulous. The formula feels great, hydrating and lips look perfectly dewy. The Flesh 3 is my favorite, but I also have Love Supreme and Dark Devotion. Perfect for every day. // BUY IT
I’m late to the game with this cult fave, but once I tried it, I fell hard for this AHA/BHA facial because it really works. Resurfaces skin to improve texture and tone, leaving your face feeling baby soft. I use it every Sunday and I love how my complexion looks afterwards. // BUY IT
My favorite all-over palette and super perfect for travel. It has my favorite blush, bronzer and finishing powder, plus a light highlighter I can sweep on for a subtle glow. It’s gorgeous and so worth the money. // BUY IT
Huda Beauty has put out some beautiful palettes, and this one, along with the NEW NUDES, are beautiful. Multiple finishes, buttery smooth // BUY IT
This year I finally splurged on some Byredo fragrances and Bibliothèque is so so good, you guys. It’s my favorite fragrance to wear, period. Notes of plum, peony, violet, leather, patchouli and vanilla. It’s warm and woody and perfect. // BUY IT
The most expensive item on my list and honestly I thought I was a fool for buying it, but whoa, it changed my life. As someone with long, thickish hair, it took me forever to try my hair, now it takes less than five minutes and my hair is less frizzy too. I don’t think I can ever go back to a regular hair dryer. And for fun, I’ll sneak in one more hair fave… my T3 curling iron is the best! I love the thicker barrel that comes with the Whirl Duo, as I want those perfectly loose, beachy waves and this tool delivers curls that last! // BUY DYSON HAIR DRYER // BUY T3 WHIRL DUO
