R.S. Grey has done it again with my new rom com fave—HOTSHOT DOC! This book was an utter delight to read, the kind of book you devour in one sitting, chuckling to yourself, smiling wildly, enjoying every second of it. It had charm, angst, steam and sweetness, but it also had depth and nuance. It was really quite perfect in every way.
We meet Bailey, a smart, hard-working surgical assistant with a job she loves, working with a surgeon she respects and enjoys. But one day and without much warning, that doctor retires and she finds herself without a job. There’s just one surgeon with an open spot—the hotshot doctor she’s had a crush on from afar, the very one who’s known for his explosive temper and cold indifference. Dr. Russell has sent grown men crying from his OR without a thought, even while people crowd in to watch him at work.
With too much responsibility to ignore, Bailey takes the job with Dr. Russell, throwing herself into a fire that burns hotter by the day. And with emotions—and desire—running so hot, the unimaginable takes them down a path neither expected.
Warm and funny and angsty and sexy—it’s all the things you desperately hope for in a romance. Add to that a touch of holiday magic, and it’s the perfect book to cozy up with this time of year. And while every R.S. Grey book I’ve read is a delight, this one had that something extra, that something special that really made it unforgettable. It all felt effortlessly real.
I loved it madly and I’m sure you will too.
