During their honeymoon at a remote lodge, Will and Sarah are thrust into a deadly mystery after discovering the brutal murder of a woman—in the latest Will Trent installment by one of my faves, @karinslaughterauthor.

I loved this book. WAS HOOKED. This is a tangled, taut, locked-room mystery teeming with red herrings (making the final revelation all the more shocking). The narrative expertly blends a procedural investigation with a harrowing exploration of a deeply malicious family and the emotional scars they’ve inflicted. If you have been a longtime Will Trent fan like I have, it just proves how amazing and fresh the series continues to be.

This is such a great book to pick up during all things spooky and thriller season! 5 🌟

Yesterday I saw @itendswithusmovie and absolutely loved it! So proud of @colleenhoover — I know how hard she works on her stories and to see this one come to life on screen — wow! @blakelively @jennyslate @brandonsklenar @isabela.ferrer and the whole cast did such an amazing job bringing these nuanced characters to life 🩷 Even though I knew the story, I found myself gasping and tearing up… it was so evocative. I had so much fun yesterday at the skincare masterclass with iconic CEO @SundayRiley and my girlie @jannadoan! She took us through a skincare set—from cleansing to moisturizing to get our skin healthy and glowing. Particularly loved loved the Pink Drink (firming essence), CEO 15% Vitamin C, Auto Correct eye cream, and the CEO Afterglow cream. So good and glowy! ✨✨✨

Also so happy to catch up with @atasteofkoko and @natalieparamore (let’s do it again soon pls!) and meet @herfashionedlife! It was the perfect ending to the week 🤍

I’m on a recent good-book streak (always the best feeling) and this is one of the recent reads I loved! I’m such a fan of the Cyrus Haven series by @michaelrobotham and this fourth installment really delivered. Have you guys read these books???

In this latest, forensic psychologist Cyrus Haven investigates a mass murder, unlocking the forgotten past of Evie Cormac, the young woman he’s informally adopted. During a day at the beach, Cyrus and Evie see seventeen bodies wash ashore. Only a young boy survives, claiming the boat carrying Middle Eastern migrants was deliberately sunk. As Cyrus steps in to help, the incident triggers something in Evie—a connection to her forgotten past.

Cyrus and Evie together unravel the clues of the connection, and what really happened to the migrants, in this propulsive and gripping story. I loved seeing their relationship deepen, and of course their interplay is always so fantastic.

Riley Sager’s thriller is tense, atmospheric, and full of twists. I loved the eerie contrast between the idyllic 90s suburbia and its dark, supernatural undercurrent. It’s a gripping coming-of-age tale that’s both creepy and surprisingly touching. It’s the perfect, addictive summer read.

SUMMER BOOK RECCOMENDATION: ONE PERFECT COUPLE by @ruthwarewriter ☀️🌴👩‍❤️‍👨

Stranded on a storm-swept island, five couples battle the elements—and each other—as they struggle to survive in this paradise-turned-nightmare thriller.

Out-of-work actor Nico pleads with his virologist girlfriend, Lyla, to join him on a couples reality TV show. Uncertain of their future together, Lyla use this as a test for their future, but from the very beginning, the show is all red flags 🚩 🚩🚩 It feels thrown together, falling short of the professional expectations of such a production. And sure enough, there is a massive storm the first night on the remote Indonesian island, and the couples are stranded with little water and food, and without any communication. As days turn into weeks, someone among them is picking them off one by one, and it’s unclear if anyone will make it out alive.

I loved the book, which was a fresh take on the lock-room mysteries Ruth Ware is known for. Cleverly told, it’s a fantastic summer thriller impossible not to devour.

If there is any message I’m taking home with me as I leave Vegas and #DellTechWorld, it is those words from Michael Dell. It’s such an exciting time to re-imagine and re-invent, and with AI, we are “ushering a new age of expression,” as Gerri Tunnel noted.

My favorite session was probably the convo between Gerri, The Chainsmokers, and T-Pain, as they talked about how AI is already integrating into their music and process. As a creative myself, it was fascinating and exciting to think about how AI can enhance what we do, allowing us to re-imagine what is possible, and how we might make our unique and differentiated mark in our respective spaces.

I’ve been wanting to embellish sneakers for nearly a year (since I scored the Cecilie Bahnsen Asics) and finally decided to do it! Using the New Balance 530s, I used pearls, flowers, bows, lace, ribbon, charms, and rhinestones to dress up the sneakers. I wanted something super girly and over the top—layers of feminine jewelry on a dad sneaker 🤍 I’m obsessed with them, and how they flirt with the line of feeling like too much. I wore them for the first time today and thankfully they held up great!

Have you read The Familiar by @lbardugo yet? I absolutely loved it. The story takes place in 16th century Madrid (during the Inquisition) where a scullion’s “milagritos” land her in a perilous magical tournament.

Luzia Cortado’s talent for little miracles catches the eye of some dangerous people, who seek to use her to rise in power. She soon finds herself under the tutelage of the notorious and secretive Guillén Santángel, whose equally sinister patron demands he train Luzia to compete in the tournament. But nothing goes as planned, as seers, racketeers, and the power-hungry elite endlessly scheme in their favor.

The Familiar is an intricately imagined historical fantasy shaped by themes of power, ambition, trust, betrayal and love. Bardugo’s storytelling is meticulous and lush, with richly drawn characters bringing it all to life. I tend to love books that marry fiction and history, and this one is incredibly well done. Cannot recommend enough.
