We’ve been so focused on our home projects, that it had been awhile since I’d shopped for new skincare and makeup. But finally last month I picked up some new goodies to try, starting off with the Summer Fridays Super Amino Gel Cleanser and CC Me Vitamin C Serum. So far, I’ve LOVED every single product Summer Fridays has launched and these two are not different. I was worried the gel cleanser was going to be drying, but it isn’t at all. It’s gentle and pH balancing with 11 amino acids formulated to help replenish and support skin elasticity. The serum feels really nice and absorbs well, and over time should help brighten and reduce hyperpigmentation.

I also picked up the Kiehl’s Midnight Botanical Cleansing Oil, which smells amazing and is lightweight and effective in removing makeup.

Now to makeup! While I was in LA I dropped by the Charlotte Tilbury store and couldn’t help but play with some new pretties (I mean who can resist a store full of makeup, counters with lights, champagne, and a whole bunch of people encouraging you to play?! No one, obvs). I walked out with two new lipsticks: Bond Girl (matte, berry red) and Birkin Brown (matte, soft brown with a little berry), plus the Lip Cheat Lip Liner in Love Trap. I had also mentioned last month that I’m loving the Pillow Talk Medium lipstick, and didn’t know there was a Pillow Talk Intense blush too… oh my gosh you guys, it’s stunning, so took this one home too. I’ve used it every single day since I’ve bought it.

Pat McGrath also just launched the Sublime Perfection concealer and because I consistently love PM, I ordered what I thought would be my shade (LM9 – I’m usually light to medium with neutral undertones for reference). LOVE IT. Creamy but lightweight with medium coverage and a satin/natural finish. It’s honestly one of the best concealers I’ve tried thus far.

And to take it all off, I can’t recommend the Makeup Eraser enough! It’s a super soft cloth that with water, removes all your makeup including mascara and eyeliner. The best! Lastly, I’ve been loving the Peace Out Acne Healing Dots. Both my son and I have been using them and they totally help get rid of unexpected, unwanted acne. Stay tuned for more faves next month!
