My Haircare Faves
God gave me four things: the ability to bake, wrap a present, tell a story and last, a good head of hair. So it’s not only my pleasure, but I feel it’s my duty to the Lord due to his generosity, to take care of it. So I’m all about being good to my mane. And this is how I do it!
TREATMENT
R+CO PALM SPRINGS PRE-SHAMMPOO TREATMENT MASK: I use this once a week for deep conditioning, strengthening and shine. Leave on for 10 minutes, then shampoo.
WASH + STYLE CARE
Here’s what I use, in order. I fell in love with Oribe when I got a product from the Box of Style and it beats everything I’ve ever used by a lot!

DIVINE WET DETANGLER BRUSH: The BEST way to brush wet hair after a clean. I bought this and wanted to buy one for everyone I knew. Ergonomic handle and SO gentle on hair.
HAIRSPRAY
KERASTASE LAQUE HAIRSPRAYS – blowout hold: DENTELLE (flexible hold) // curl hold: COUTURE (medium hold) // chignon, updo, tease back mega hold: NOIRE (extra firm hold) – they all smell nice too!
MORROCANOIL DRY SHAMPOO is what I use for in between washes.

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn’t taken her first breath!).Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe.
Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).
Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up. And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.
