Review: Glossier Lash Slick Mascara

Review: Glossier Lash Slick Mascara

I’m always on the hunt for the next great mascara, because who doesn’t want lashes for days?! I love Glossier’s products, so knew I had to give this one a twirl.  It apparently took Glossier 248 formulations to officially launch their first mascara: Lash Slick.

Glossier hails it as “the perfect everyday mascara” which curls, lengthens and enhances the natural look of your lashes. This is a tubing formula, which is different from your typical mascaras—tiny micro fibers coat your lashes to create volume and extension, while also making it easy to wash off with water at the end of the day. Film-forming polymers add shine and lock all those tiny fibers into place.  Lastly, it’s water resistant (not waterproof), cruelty free, paraben free, fragrance free and hypoallergenic.

I’ve been trying the mascara for the better part of a week now and I’ve been quite impressed. While it’s not the mascara you’ll want to pick up to add va-va-va-voom volume on a night out, it’s a great mascara to swipe on for the every day. What I really love about it is how it lengthens… my lashes seriously looked crazy long after two coats. Also, it separates lashes like a boss, no clumpiness.

Pics below show one eye with two coats of Lash Slick, the other eye without mascara.

I do recommend using a lash curler… it will make a big difference since I think this isn’t the right mascara for big-time curls or volume. If you want to add volume, add another coat of a volumizing mascara.

At a $16 price point, picking this up is a no brainer. It’s a really well done mascara and who doesn’t want that simple, blush packaging on their vanity?!
