A warm, heartfelt novella that reminded me of
why I fell in love with Jack and Keri Ann.
Jack Eversea and Evan Weston, two of Hollywood’s hottest young actors had their hearts stolen by regular down to earth girls, and we lived and laughed and loved their stories in the Eversea Series and in the Desire Resort Series. But what happened when the books were over?
How did each couple choose to spend their first Christmas? Was it sexy, emotional, stressful or heartwarming?
Perhaps it was everything and more. Let’s find out!
Mistletoe & Hollywood is a bundled duet featuring:
Evan and Dani’s first Christmas in Many Times, Many Ways by Kate Roth.
and
Jack and Keri Ann’s first Christmas in My Star, My Love by Natasha Boyd.
I had been awhile since I’d been swept away by that intangible magic that is Jack Eversea and Keri Ann Butler, and falling back into a story during Christmas time was the loveliest of reading experiences. This novella gives us a glimpse into a holiday together, as Keri Ann readies to meet Jack’s mother for the first time. I loved how you could tell just how much these two people loved each other… how often they expressed that sentiment. After all they had gone through, ups and downs, lies and half-truths, betrayals and camera flashes, they were together. And they were happy.
While away, however, their future once again comes into focus as insecurities on both sides begin to consume. Often separated by distance and by lives that seemed so different, they take on the next hurdle of their relationship now that Jack’s time in South Carolina was coming to an end. Could Jack overcome his fears at losing Keri Ann? Could Keri Ann come to grips with Jack’s spotlight?
It was a sweet, sexy, heartwarming story that fans of the series should absolutely read. It was wonderful to jump back into their world and relish in their love story. I could’ve read an entire novel… I’ve missed them that much!
Please note that Mistletoe and Hollywood includes two short stories, one by Natasha Boyd and one by Kate Roth. This review pertains only to the short story I read, entitled My Star, My Love.
