I had told myself I wasn’t shopping this year’s Nordstrom Anniversary Sale — I frankly felt the sale has featured much of the same items year after year. But I decided to take a quick look online and also shopped the store this weekend to really see what they had to offer. Surprisingly, I found some really great pieces — couple which I ordered (and am waiting on), others I found in store. I also explored beauty and bags, but didn’t find anything too impressive.
Card members can shop the sale now, and starting on July 15th, the sale opens to everyone.
Here are my top 10 picks!
Coats are by far my favorite item of clothing and I love how adding a lightweight trench elevates a look. Love this layered with pretty much anything.
Following closely behind coats are blazers and this year I have been trying to find a check pattern double breasted blazer just like this one. This was my first order when the sale went live and I envision styling this with an easy tee and ripped jeans and sneakers.
Lately, I’ve ordered a handful of these cropped blazers to style with denim or wide-leg trousers. I’m 5’6″ and love the idea of a cropped silhouette allowing for a longer-leg look. Ordered this one too and can’t wait for it to arrive.
This super super lightweight blazer wasn’t on my radar until I shopped the store, but loved the easy-throw-on look of it, which I plan to style with jeans and some chunky boots. I sized down one size.
I can’t get enough of leather biker jackets and love this year’s version on the sales roster. These are forever cool and timeless pieces.
I bought a look-a-like camel cashmere pullover this past year and wore it so much (pair with a camel coat for an elevated monochromatic look). Effortlessly elegant.
I buy a bunch of these tees EVERY SINGLE YEAR. They are my favorite go-to tee, and so I wear them out and stock up again when the sale happens. True to size; plus size available too.
I’ve been searching for the best platform loafers (since falling in love with the much more expensive Prada version). I picked up these chunky Free People black ones (full price, TTS), and also opted for these cream ones that were included in the sale. Thought it would be a nice change, but loved the black and navy options too. True to size. Note: Sale also includes some really cool Steve Madden platform loafers, but surprisingly the instep is incredibly narrow and don’t recommend them for purchase.
I loved all the colors and styles of this easy slide-on mule… love how the bold and thick chain gives it a modern look.
While I shopped the store this weekend, I was walking out and these oversized cat-eyed sunnies caught my eye and at less than $40, immediately added to my haul. I love them!
