“Okay, Seattle, let’s fucking rock!”

Hello tattooed rock star Leo Nash!!! We first meet Leo as family and friends gather to help move Leo’s sister, Meg, into Will Montgomery’s house. Sam Williams is there, along with her brother, actor Luke Williams and his wife, Nat. This group of actors, rock stars and all-around beautiful people are a tight-knit group. Leo, famous front man of the band Nash, is on break in Seattle and there to help Meg. Sam is feeling unnerved by the sexy rocker, but we learn quickly that she uses wit, sarcasm and a sharp level of bitchiness to keep her defenses up.

And that pretty much sums up Sam’s attitude with Leo, at first. Contradictory to her innermost thoughts and the enticing voice in her head, she tries to steer clear of Leo Nash. Sam detests fame and everything that comes with that life. Immediately, however, we sense there’s something there… some reason that makes here defensive and closed off.

But Leo persists. There’s something about Samantha “with her light blonde hair and big blue eyes” that he can’t stay away from.

I loved them together!!! She’s a smack-talking smart ass who easily banters with Leo. And Leo, surprisingly is kind and gentlemanly behind that tough, tattooed rock god exterior. He’s incredibly sweet and I love that he calls her “Sunshine.”

“Her sweet, light scent is all around me. She smells like vanilla with a hint of lemons. Sunshine.”

As they come together, slowly and hesitantly, it’s obvious that they are both flawed individuals that carry painful baggage from their past. They need to be able to shed that weight and trust each other, so they can truly be happy together. Sam is the most closed off and we learn that she’s had a bad experience with fame that has kept her from being open to those around her. But with Nash, the thought of losing him is more frightful than learning to overcome her fears.

“We’re just two people who have baggage and don’t trust anyone.”

Ultimately, this book is a very sexy read about being open to others, to love, to be loved. This fun, flirty and fiesty group of friends and family is awesome and I love the unconditional support they have for each other! This is the first book I read of Kristen’s and I can’t wait to keep reading more about this group of people! Definitely pick up this sexy rock star romance!!!! It’s hot!
