I’m ridiculously late to share a skincare update, but I’m so excited to share what I’ve been using lately because I’m really loving the way my complexion looks. My primary goal is to hydrate my skin as much as possible (especially since I’m in my 40s), and secondly, for it too look glowy, hydrated and even. I also continue to work on reducing hyperpigmentationโsomething I do through the products I share below, my dermatologist-prescribed night cream, and frequent laser treatments (either Clear & Brilliant or BBL treatments).
I admittedly have a lot of skincare products, so I do switch things up here and there, but here’s what I’m using most often, right now.
I start the day using the Tatcha Rice Wash Skin-Softening Cleanser or the Skinceuticals Gentle Cleanser. At night, I always double cleanse and use the Tatcha Camellia Cleansing Oilย before the Rice Cleanser.ย My skin feels wonderfully clean and hydrated.

I’ve traditionally not been a toner user, I’ve always just started with essence, but for the past several months, I’ve been loving the Cosrx AHA/BHA toner. It’s such an easy, quick spray to start the day routine, and it helps improve skin texture and clean out pores. Best of all, it’s like $14.
Essence may be my favorite step in the skincare routine. I LOVE. I feel like it primes and hydrates my skin for all the goodness that’s to come, so I always use two essences. Because of its water-like texture, you can layer your essences and it won’t block subsequent product absorption. I use a combination of three.
To start, I either use the pricey-but-fabulous Sk-II, which helps to reduce the appearance of dark spots and fine lines, or I use the Dr. Ceuracle Vegan Kombucha Tea Essence. I lovvve this latter cream essenceโit’s super hydrating and packed with probiotics, vitamin B and other nutrients… it just feels really amazing on my skin.
Then, I always end with the cult fave Cosrx Snail Mucin Essence (I’m really a big fan of Cosrx these days). It repairs and rejuvenates your skin and helps give you that beautiful, coveted glow.

I alternate between a couple Vitamin C serums (generally a fan of switching up skincare). My favorite isย Revision Skincare’s C+ Correction Complex (pricey, but highly recommended by my dermatologist), but sometimes I switch it up with Tatcha’s Violet C Brightening Serum. I also sometimes use Skinceuticals HA Intensifier, but I’m almost out and just ordered the Cosrx Hyaluronic Acid serum to try. These serums help seal in the Vitamin C product and keep they skin super hydrated. Helpful tip: make sure your skin is a little damp when you apply your Hyaluronic acid to better seal in all that moisture.

I am pretty consistently using the Tatcha Water Cream (also love the Dewy Cream) for my Day routine. I love how lightweight it feels, how glowly it makes my skin look. I also mix a drop of the Cosrx Propolis Light Ampoule, to amp up that glow and reduce redness.
Another moisturizer I use is the Cosrx Snail Mucin moisturizer (I really have been trying as many Cosrx products as I can). This one is very similar to the Water Creamโwhen you scoop the product, it feels gooey… but it does not feel that way once it goes on the skin.

My favorite eye cream is the SK-II RNA, but I ran out of it some time ago and it’s quite pricey. On a whim, I picked up the Olay Eye Lifting Serum and I’ve loved it. I love that you can use it all over your eyes, and it feels really hydrating.
Beauty of Joseon sunscreen is the BEST sunscreen ever. If you don’t have it already, buy it now, trust me. It feels moisturizing on the skin and leaves no white cast. With 30% rice extract and grain fermented extracts, yout get vitamins B, C, E to help hydrate and calm the skin. IT IS THE BEST.
My evening routine is much simpler. I double cleanse with the cleansers I mentioned above, then I alternate between the Cosrx Niacinamide 15 Serum or the Glow Serum Watermelon AHA Night Treatment. Sometimes I also switch it up and use either The Ordinary Glycolic Acid 7% Toning Solution, or the 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant… but essentially, I use one of those treatments in this second step. I follow up with the ROC retinol eye cream, and lastly use my dermatologist-prescribed retinol cream which also helps reduce hyperpigmentation.

A few additional products I use: the first being a ride-or-die. I use the Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Drops EVERY DAY. I don’t miss it. It’s that final step that makes my skin feel super hydrated and look super glowy. It’s also like a primer if I use tinted moisturizer or foundation.
I also still use and love my Vintner Daughter’s Serum, but don’t use it every day because it’s so expensive. I use before moisturizer and push/press it in lightly with my fingers.
Lastly, every morning and every evening, and honestly sometimes even during the day, I use the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask (in Gummy Bear). I find there’s nothing like it to make my lips feel hydrated.
