Cocktail Recipe: Spicy Margaritas

Cocktail Recipe: Spicy Margaritas

Almost every Friday, my husband and I make spicy margaritas. They are so yummy, a perfect way to kick off the weekend! Here’s our recipe.

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz white tequila (we’ve been using Exotico brand)
  • 3.5 oz triple sec
  • 2.5 oz lime juice (about two large limes)
  • 1 to 2 oz of water or sparkling water (to taste)
  • Sliced jalapeño (to taste)
  • Chili rim (you can find this at any Specs or liquor store usually)
  • Ice

Directions:

In a shaker, add 6 oz of white tequila and slices of jalapeño, to taste, let it stand for about 30 minutes. This is optional, but the longer the infusion, the spicier the margarita.

Rim your glasses with chili and fill with ice.

To the shaker, add the triple sec, lime juice and water. Note, we use a little bit of water to dial back the intensity of flavors, otherwise it can be overpowering.  Mix, pour and enjoy!

Cheers, friends!
