The Sunday Snapshot – Week of September 16th

sundaysnapshot

I’ve been really swamped lately, heads down working on a lot of reviews and doing a lot of beta reads, so you may have noticed I haven’t been online as much. Hoping the end of this month gives me a little bit more breathing room! So now to what I’m reading…

Don’t hate me! *cowers before something gets thrown* I was one of the bloggers who was able to win an ARC of Convicted by Aleatha Romig and hope to have it on my Kindle sometime this week! This is THE most highly anticipated book of the year for me and I cannot wait to read it! I can already picture myself, wide-eyed and biting my nails at 4:00 a.m. on a weeknight. It’s not going to be pretty, folks! 🙂 Then, I’ll be dying to talk about it with all with you, but will be forced to remain quiet! I may have to do something special on the blog for release week! In the meanwhile, you can read Chapter 1 of the book by joining this Goodreads group here. Also, finally reading Ten Tiny Breaths by K.A. Tucker. I think this is the fourth time on the schedule, something always happens and I don’t get to it. Come hell or high water, I’m reading it this week! I’m also so excited to dive back into Christian and Elizabeth’s story. The Take This Regret series is one of my favorite series ever. Lost to You (#0.5), a novella, is the first book, followed by Take This Regret (#1) and If Forever Comes (#2), which will be out this week! Lots of great books out there and hope all of you have some fun reading with all the great releases coming up!

MUST READ OF THE WEEK:

fading series

These two 5-star books are intense, real and full of emotion. Fading, book 1 of the series, deals with overcoming a crushing tragedy as the light in your life begins to fade and dim. Book 2, Freeing, was just recently released and chronicles the difficult journey in accepting who you are, in this case, being gay. Don’t be spooked by Freeing, which is technically an M/M read, this book really is a beautiful love story that so honest and heartfelt. Both books are incredibly well written and I can’t recommend them enough! Plus, they are beautiful! I’m dying to get the paperbacks of these for the covers alone… just stunning!

Hi Vilma- Have you ever considered Crows Row by Julie Hockley? It is similar to your usual reads and one you will enjoy. The sequel, “Scare Crow” will be released sometime in December 2013. Just a thought for you. On another note, thanks for all your recommendations and reviews!! I love to read and find myself looking for recommendations all the time. Your taste in books is right up my alley so thank you for all your hard work!
