My Obsession With May Designs

One of the things I’ve always obsessed over is office supplies. I’ve always carried an agenda, scribbling with colorful pens and sticking on pretty glittery things to make notetaking fun. Recently I discovered May Designs, a great online shop which sells stationary, photo books and customizable notebooks. And guess what? They are headquartered right here in Austin! I quickly fell in love with their notebooks… they’re incredibly fun to personalize and oh-so pretty. You can choose the cover, the font, geometric shapes plus the look of the notebook on the inside. For an office supply and font junkie like me, it’s a heavenly place.

First step is choosing your cover (here). So many bright hues and alluring patterns. Then you choose a background shape, typographic style, monogram color and text.

Once you’re done with the design, you choose the function of your notebook. They have Baby Diaries and Bump Diaries, a Health and Fitness Journal (my latest obsession), Calendars and even Kids’ coloring books.

The covers are a coated canvas, making it flexible and lightweight, easily carried in a handbag without much bulk. New collections and designs are introduced fairly regularly and it’s so much fun to play around. I have two calendars I use daily… one for my blog (which overflows with ink) and one for my personal life. I love using Washi tape to highlight events and there are great stickers and calendar accessories you can find on Etsy. One specifically that I just recently ordered from is The Nifty Planner. She’s got some great stuff to make your fabulous notebook even more fabulous.
