With the fall season fast approaching, transitional nail art is on my mind. I love fall nail trends because the colors are richer and the designs are crisper. I’ve pulled together a few of my favorite looks that are perfect for that pre-fall period, mixing some elements of summer and fall together to create a chic mani for any occasion you can recreate at home!
This color from LondontownUSA is a gorgeous dusty teal, and it pairs perfectly with a minimalist grid accent. The trick to recreating this look is using a super-thin striping nail art brush. This allows you to create a crisp line with just one stroke.

Rainbow half moon accents have been all the rage this summer on Instagram. I love this trend so much I wanted to recreate it for fall by using some more muted, cooler toned colors. For this look, again use a thin striping brush to a get a clean line in just one stroke. Start with the top most outward color and work your way down (pink, then brown, then white). This will let you clean up the lines and shapes as you go without any mess.

I love the look of a skinny subtle stripe pop of color on a nail. This look uses two of the new shades from the Essie Wild Nudes collection, every single color is perfect for fall nail art. The trick to getting a skinny stripe is to wipe off most of the polish on the bottle, turn the brush sideways and swipe. Carefully go over it one or two more times to make the stripe solid. Use a q-tip to remove any color that may have gotten on the skin.
