Review: The F List - Vilma Iris | Lifestyle Blogger

He’s got 70 million followers but only hates one of them – me. Can two of the world’s most famous people fake a relationship in front of the cameras? Find out in this addictively fun romance from New York Times Bestseller Alessandra Torre.

There was a lot I did to get to this point, to get 42 million followers. Some of it I was proud of, most of it I wasn’t.

There was a group of us, all internet celebrities, and everyone wanted in, which is how six of us ended up living in this mansion, a camera always on, the public always watching. Two months and nine carefully scripted TV episodes that would get us more of the three F’s we were desperately chasing.

Fame. Fortune. Followers.

I knew my role. I was Emma, the unlikeable one. The dark villain with the devious smile. The package of dynamite that would blow up any chance of peaceful living and harmony.

Cash knew his role. He was the good guy. The lovable one. The one that everyone, even the darkest cast member of them all, would fall in love with.

They were supposed to just be roles.
None of it was supposed to be real.

My heart didn’t get that memo.

Review: The F List

Alessandra Torre’s latest, THE F-LIST, is the perfect escape—an addictive, enemies-to-lovers romance brimming with the sizzle of celebrity and the delicious tension of secret desire.

We first meet Emma, an insecure girl in the shadows who wants nothing more than to be seen. With a stroke of luck, Emma is happily thrust into a world of glitz and camera clicks. A world where followers, fame and fortune are everything. A world where every detail, every move, every outfit and smirk are carefully calculated. Suddenly, Emma is not only seen, she is obsessed over by millions, largely in part to the drama she ignites.

On the flip side, there’s Cash Mitchell. He’s the golden boy. The good guy. The son of Hollywood royalty with millions of followers who adore him. And Cash is no fan of Emma’s.

Sparks undoubtedly fly every time they collide, somehow deepening the obsession Emma secretly bears for Cash. Enter MTV and a scripted show, and Emma and Cash are forced to play certain roles for the millions who watch their every step, while behind cameras, confronting their every issue, and yielding to a chemistry they can no longer hide.

But secrets threaten what is only just beginning, and Emma must shed the armor she hides behind if something real is to take shape.

As always, Torre’s taut storytelling allows us to fully escape into a story that felt fresh and fascinating. It was utterly absorbing, so much fun to read with all the tension and drama inherent to the world of influencer celebrity. You’ll read it in a single sitting and revel in every scandalous (and tender) moment.
