Synopsis

Four storytellers
One ancient demon
No way out…
Four women who call themselves The Storytellers have gathered one hot August evening to tell tales, as they have for years. But on this night, they unknowingly evoke the powers of an ancient Mayan idol that breathes real life into their stories. The Mayan idol isn’t the only ancient being awakened. A power-hungry demon is determined to see the women fail and become enslaved to him forever.
Now the women’s lives depend on surviving each other’s stories, defeating the demon and solving a centuries-old mystery.
If they survive until The End untold wealth is theirs. But some stories have a life of their own…

What the world isn’t ready for & other little known facts about Laura A. H. Elliott:

*blushes* This is just between me and you, okay?

  • I like to write (and sometimes do dishes by) candlelight. I don’t like well-lit rooms. Ideally all my lights would be on dimmers
  • I spent time in Venezuela as a teenager
  • I’ve never sung Karaoke and the world is better for it (although one time author CJ Roberts almost got me to go with her in San Francisco, but I spared the City By The Bay that night)
  • My favorite scene in The Storytellers was the hardest to write
  • I love comedy clubs in LA and blues clubs in Chicago
  • When I was a little girl, my mom was home all alone one day. There were four kids in our family and Dad had taken us out for the afternoon. When I came home I ran to see where my mom was and found her reading in the living room. I said we were home and asked if she was lonely without us. She said, “Oh, my little lamb, being alone and being lonely are two different things.” The Storytellers is dedicated to my mom.
  • In the 80s, I won tickets to a Phil Collins concert by singing “Against All Odds” on KLOS in Los Angeles.
  • The Ghost & Mrs. Muir was one of my favorite TV shows growing up, I harbored a secret crush on Captain Gregg
  • I skydived on a second date
  • I go to a secret beach in Malibu to dream

Thanks for hosting me here today. So, ya wanna share one of your little known facts with me? *waves* thanks for stopping by.

THANK YOU LAURA!!!!

About The Author

I love writing about enchanted road trips, cursed storytellers, shadow worlds, and alien romance while eating lots of popcorn. After twenty-plus years as a freelance graphic designer/animator with clients including E! Entertainment Television and The Los Angeles Times, I left the real world behind and followed my heart into the world of fiction. Little known fun facts––I can’t kill a spider but would gladly kill the tomato-plant eating gophers in my yard if I could get my hands on them, I wouldn’t mind dying in a vat of salted carmel ice cream from Portland’s Salt & Straw, next on my dream list is a trip to Indonesia, I daydream of doing stand-up comedy when I’m not completely terrified of it.
