Something about true crimes stories have always fascinated me… I’m enthralled with how detectives find the smallest clues to find answers, to recreate what happened in hopes that justice may be served. So while it’s no secret I love thrillers and murder mystery novels, I also love true crime podcasts.

After binge-listening to SERIAL some time ago (and if you haven’t listened to this show, you must!), I quickly sought out new podcasts to feed my addiction. Here are some of my favorites from the many I’ve listened to. Comment on the post with some you might recommend!

Perfect for those of us on the go, as the episodes are quick and cover a single case.

Super dark and not for the faint of heart, this podcast shares a different story each time, be it murder, kidnapping, conspiracy and a whole lot more.

A spinoff of A&E’s popular show, this podcast is great because it covers a case in a single episode, giving you a conclusion before it ends. They explore cases that have gone cold for years and follow the detectives that have never given up.

Explores the cold case of missing teacher Tara Grinstead—one of the biggest unsolved cases in Georgia history. Really addictive and gripping as the case evolves.

Killing on the Cape

My newest find, which just launched in October, is a podcast in collaboration with 20/20 and delves into the murder of fashion writer Christa Worthington, who was found stabbed to death with her 2-year-old daughter at her side. Only two episodes available right now, but I’m totally hooked.
