VBB Weekly – 04.21.2014

I actually got slightly ahead of my schedule this week (gasp!) so I am rewarding myself with the fourth book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series. Woo-hoo!!! #addicted

I also have to tell you guys that I finished an ARC of Bang by E.K. Blair and you’re gonna want to add it to your TBR. It was SO good! It’s a romantic suspense with all kinds of secrets layered in… it’s heartbreaking and dark and hopeful in parts too. The writing is fantastic, probably the best I’ve seen from her. It completely blew my mind by the end. Really. It’s one of those books that demands to be discussed so I can’t wait until you all read it so we can talk about it!!!!

I love this new contemporary romance from Karina Halle. This is very different from what I’ve read from this author, but it’s certainly a story that has that gritty fearlessness that I’ve come to expect from her. Whether it’s tackling terror, or building a thrilling sense of suspense, or in this case, challenging us emotionally… the result is addictive.  Love, In English tells the tale of a woman, Vera, who is smart, but wildly unique, living her life boldly and loudly. When she decides to go to Spain to teach conversational English to business people, she finds love unexpectedly. In this case, however, this love is impossible and tests more than her resolve. This is a story about coming to terms with who you are, who you want to be and what you’re willing to fight for in life. A stirring 5-star romance.
