Tried It: White Peach Palette

When I heard about Too Faced’s White Peach eye shadow palette, I was so excited. I love love LOVE the Just Peachy Mattes and at first preview, glittery colors like Glistening Peach and Peach Passion really stood out. The palette consists of matte, shimmer and glitter colors in pink, peach, champagne and plum shades. As with the rest of the Peaches & Cream collection, it smells lovely too.

Once I finally had it in my hands and had the opportunity to test it out, I was very happy with some of the beautiful shimmery colors, the formula was once again very blendable with nice pigment.

Now here’s my one rub with it. When I was trying to come up with my eye look I realized I was missing some mid-tone colors. Colors like Peach Suede, Fuzzy and Sweet Fig are great transition colors to start with. Glittery and shimmery colors like Peaches & Cream, Glistening Peach, Peach Ice and even Peach Passion were super gorg for lid color, but I needed some crease options and all I really had was On The Grill.

Now, I get it. You can have all kinds of eye looks, but usually, I love having a lighter, matte transition color, a darker crease color and something fun for the lid, and with this palette, I didn’t have what I needed to build that look UNLESS I brought in other palettes. I pulled out my Just Peachy Mattes and tadaaaa…. the colors worked beautifully together!

So all in all, I loved the colors, love the formula, it’s just not a standalone palette I can take with me on a trip… I need another one to give me that mid-tone range I crave.

Am I glad I have it? Absolutely.

Do I recommend it? Yes, but pick up the Just Peachy Mattes palette as a complement.

Do I wish it was a more complete standalone palette? Also, yes.

So you be the judge, tell me what you think in the comments!

Well if I have to buy another palette to go along with it I most likely won’t buy it. Unless I feel like I already have some good colors at home to go with it. I have a feeling I’m going to run across the same problem with the white chocolate chip palette I have of theirs. What did your final look end up looking like once you did your make up?

I didn’t take a pic, but I was happy with it in the end, but honestly it’s because I love the Just Peachy palette! It’s a great one to have even on its own!
