shouldnโt be in love, but baby I am
I know itโs crazy, but I donโt give a damn
shouldnโt want you near me
but youโre inside me, can you hear me
Iโm praying you need me, baby say you do
Iโm laying in bed, dreaming of you
cuz I remember you moving, gliding
canโt get over you, baby Iโm trying
why canโt I have you, whyโs it have to be so complicated
the love I feel hasnโt faded
I wrote those lyrics for Jonny after he walked away.
It was never meant to be between us; I knew it, he knew it, we talked about it.
The trouble is, love never listens to logic. And for two people who have never really had a home or known love, logic is all that keeps us going: be smart, survive, do what has to be done. And, in my case, take care of my son. Forget my dreams, forget loveโฆnothing matters but making it day by day.
But then I met Jonny, and everything changed.

Iโm a vagabond. Iโve lived my whole life out on the ocean, surviving by my wits and my knowledge of the sea. Iโve never needed anyone, never stayed in one place long enough to let something like that happen.
Christian, the only person Iโve ever really cared about, goes missing and gives me a box of letters and makes me promise to take it to his wife, Ava. Problem is, when I get to her, Ava is missing too, and their condo is ruined by the same hurricane that claimed Christian. And then I meet Delta, Avaโs sister, Christianโs sister-in-law, and she changes everything.
It wasnโt supposed to be anything. Nothing was supposed to happen. We helped dig out survivors of the hurricane together, and that was it. Onlyโฆthat wasnโt it. Something happened. And now I canโt get her out of my head, or out of my heart.
Even when I walk away, I canโt escape her. Especially when I hear her voice on the radio, singing a song meant for me:
You walked into my life, with your dark skin and brown eyes
I tried to resist you, tried not to kiss you
you speak soft and you move slow
youโve got strong hands and few words
but I hear it anyway, everything you donโt say
I tried to resist you, tried not to kiss you
but god, your lips, the way you moved your hips
the way you said my name
and said you felt the same
the way you took my hand
and kissed me in the sand
New York Times bestselling author Lexi Ryan brings readers a sexy NFL player who’s pulled out all the stops for one more chance with the love of his life.
I have four months to make my wife fall in love with me or let her go forever.
I loved Bailey Green long before she watched her loser ex take his last breaths. I held her while they lowered his coffin into the ground, stilled her shaking hands when the nightmares would tear her from sleep. I waited for her through her grief. But while she was always willing to let me in her bed, she refused to let me in the one place I longed to beโher heart.
Tired of playing second string to a dead man, I let her go. I moved to Florida to begin my NFL career and tried to pretend my perfect life didnโt leave me empty. Iโd almost given up. Until one drunken night in Vegas, we stumbled down the aisle and said, โI do.โ
In exchange for the divorce she wants so badly, sheโs agreed to remain my wife until the end of the year. She has no idea the favors Iโve called in or the lies Iโve told to get her here, but if I succeed, none of that matters.
My secrets always seemed justified, but Bailey has her ownโsecrets that explain why she always pushed me away, secrets that make me wonder if I should have let her. Now weโre in too deep and I might lose the only girl Iโve ever loved and the best friend Iโve ever had.

Heโs tortured.

Sheโs determined.

Taylor Harden is a man on the edge.
The edge of fame. The edge of untold wealth.
The edge of utter humiliation.
He built an unhackable system, and in front of everyone, itโs hacked.
His reputation goes from king to goat in a split second. Boom. Like that.
Some dude in Barrington, USA (AKA Nowhere) has locked down Taylorโs code, and if he doesnโt get it back, heโs going to be wearing a monkey suit for the rest of his life.
Except, this guy? This hacker from Nowhere? Heโs not a guy.
Harper Watsonโs all woman. And she has a plan for Taylor, his code, and his body.
Dear Bridget,
Iโm writing this letter because itโs highly doubtful Iโll ever garner the courage to say this to your face.
So, here goes.
Weโre totally wrong for each other. Youโre the proper single mum with a good head on your shoulders. Iโm just the carefree British doctor passing through town and temporarily living in your converted garage until I head back to England.
But hereโs the thingโฆ for some bloody reason, I canโt stop thinking about you in very inappropriate ways.
I want you.
The only reason Iโm even admitting all of this to you right now is because I donโt believe itโs one-sided. I notice your eyes when you look at me, too.
And as crass as I appear when weโre joking around about sex, my attraction to you is not a joke.
So, whatโs the purpose of this note? I guess itโs a reminder that weโre adults, that sex is healthy and natural, and that you can find me just through the door past the kitchen. More specifically, itโs to let you know that Iโm leaving said door cracked open from now on in case youโd like to visit me in the middle of the night sometime.
No questions asked.
Think about it.
Or donโt.
Whatever you choose.
Itโs doubtful Iโll even end up sliding this letter under your door anyway.

The only benefit I want from my ex is a divorce.
We got married for all the wrong reasons. The one thing we got right was our separation. I should have known better than to think I could bet on forever with a guy like Canaan Ford. Everything about him screamed impermanent, from his wild eyes to his restless soul.
When I left him and the small town Iโd spent my whole life in, I swore Iโd never go back. Never only turned out to be five years. Canaan claims heโs changed, but he hasnโtโsame knowing smile, same rough demeanor, same body crafted from sin and sinew. And yet, something is different. He thinks this is his chance for redemption. My disagreement comes in the form of divorce papers dropped in his lap. He refuses to sign them. Unless . . .
He wants a month to prove himself to meโthatโs his offer. One month to make me fall in love with him again and if I donโt, heโll sign the papers. As much as I want to say no, I agree. I can suffer my ex for a short amount of time if thatโs what it takes to be free of him once and for all. I fell for him once; I wonโt make that same mistake twice.
He says weโre not over. I say we were over before we got started. Only one of us can be right, and I canโt let it be him.
