Our Christmas Meal Menu

Our Christmas Meal Menu

After Thanksgiving, I received a lot of messages asking for recipes of what we made. So I wanted to share with you what we plan to make for our Christmas Eve meal.

I am so looking forward to the day! Both Tony and I cook (he makes the turkey, I make the sides) and we’re in the kitchen, drinking coffee, drinking wine, chatting all day long with holiday music playing in the background. I love being home, love spending one of my favorite days of the year together.

So here’s a little secret… my favorite part of any holiday meal is actually the “botanas” — that’s spanish for appetizers. I love snacking before the big meal, but most of the time, I get pretty full before the turkey is served. So this year, I plan to take out the charcuterie board earlier in the day, so we can enjoy the cheese board early, have that for lunch even, and be good and hungry by the time dinner is ready.

I also decided not to make a big dessert. By the time we’re done with our meal, we are quite literally stuffed, so I thought it would be fun to make chocolate chip cookies with the kids as a fun, no-fuss activity. Scoop on some ice cream and voila!

I cannot wait you guys! I eat all the things, and enjoy every bite, every moment with those I love most in the world. So here’s what’s on the menu. Comment below with what you’re making at home!

Happy Holidays from our family to yours! ♡

This riff tries to capture so much of what is great about guitar. It celebrates open & barre chords, it celebrates clean and distorted single coil tones, it derives from a number of Fender-playing influences. Like guitar, I get it and it gets me. @Fender #UltraRiffContest
