VBB Weekly – 04.07.14

I am still reeling from my wonderful reads in the past week. I published two 6-star reviews: The Will by Kristen Ashley and Mud Vein by Tarryn Fisher. Very different books, but so beautifully crafted and written. I highly recommend you pick up both! I also got sucked in by the badassness is that is the Black Dagger Brotherhood!!! Must Reads of the Week

Since I have two 6-star reviews up this week, it’s only right that I have two must-reads this week!

Mud Vein

This may not be the kind of book you are used to reading. I’ll assure you that you’ll feel conflicted on how you feel, but let me tell you that if you let yourself absorb the story, absorb the brilliance of the writing, you will be moved by its power, particularly its end. It’s not a romance. It sorta defies a singular genre, but it’s incredibly gripping and gritty and suspenseful. I absolutely loved it!

The Will

Possibly my favorite Kristen Ashley book to date. It was beautiful and real in a way that really got to me. There’s a vulnerability to the story, to its characters that made it a powerful and unforgettable story to read. It’s a story about finding love – the love of someone special when you least expect it and the love of finding a family you never thought you would have. And it’s much more than that too. Make sure to pre-order… it could be on your Kindle tonight!
