VBB Weekly – 07.14.2014

Had so much fun devouring the Dream Man series by Kristen Ashley as part of KA Reading Week, which took place in our Vixen reading group. Dozens of books read, new fans, new book boyfriends, many discussion threads, challenges, late nights and virtual cocktails all made the week pretty unforgettable!

This is also an important week for me since the last book of one of my favorite all-time series (All Souls Trilogy) is out Tuesday. The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness is amazing!!! Suspense, secrets, magic, science and an epic romance make this finale a complete and unforgettable page turner.

Must Read of the Week

The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness

It will come as no surprise to anyone that my must-read of the week is The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness. This has been my own most anticipated book of the year, and also my favorite to date. I fell in love with this series hard… with it’s mix of magic and science, history and fiction, forbidden romance and passion. It’s a perfect series for what I endeavor to experience in reading. Escapism, but rooted in something real… something to learn from. Romance, but enveloped by a story so rich and lush with secrets and mysteries that drive the plot forward beautifully.
