Review: Chasing Cassandra

In this latest, much-anticipated Ravenels romp she pairs the ruthless Tom Severin, an intellectual with a frozen heart, with the quick-witted beauty, Lady Cassandra Ravenel. It’s a deliciously addictive story of opposites attract. Severin is cynical and cunning—traits that have helped him achieve tremendous wealth and power, while Lady Ravenel longs for real love and a family to call her own.

Tom acknowledges he should find a wife and approaches the matter with the pragmatism of a business deal, but from the moment he sees Cassandra, nothing is quite the same thereafter. He’s determined to have her even though he can’t give her the only thing she desires—love.

Admittedly (and surprisingly) I felt there were some hiccups with DEVIL’S DAUGHTER, but I feel that with CHASING CASSANDRA, Kleypas is back in full stride delivering a heartwarming, compelling, wonderfully addictive love story impossible to put down.
