MAD HIPPIE recently sent me some products to try out, and they’re such an affordable option I wanted to share my thoughts on each item in a full post. First, a little bit about MAD HIPPIE – they believe in natural skin care, omitting all nasty, unnecessary additives. They pack as many active ingredients into each product, to ensure it’s not only something that won’t harm your skin, but also something that really works.
Everyone should be using a Vitamin C serum daily. This antioxidant will help protect and treat your skin from sun damage while also helping to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and discoloration. With about 10% Vitamin C, plus Vitamin E, ferulic acid, hyaluronic acid, grapefruit, chamomile extract, clary sage and Konjac root powder (softens and smoothes skin), this is a really effective formulation. The texture is lightweight and absorbs easily into skin.
This is such a great product for anyone struggling with hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. It helps reduce the appearance of discoloration and wrinkles with its alpha hydroxy acid-based serum. Again, the serum feels lightweight, which is so great, and more than that, my skin looks brighter and more even the more I use it. Formulated with glycolic acid, lactic acid, apple stem cells (reduces appearance of fine lines), gigawhite (boosts radiance), super-antioxidant rich goji berry, white tea and more.
Packed with peptides, ceramides, pomegranate and white tea, this eye cream helps firm, while reducing dark circles and undereye bags. I thought it worked really well, although admittedly I think I prefer a creamier formulation. For those who like a lightweight option, this may be a good choice for you.
A new ride or die. I’m obsessed with this facial oil. It’s packed with some many fantastic ingredients and it smells lovely while still feeling light and absorbing quickly. Formulated with argan oil (hydrates, reduces appearance of scars), various antioxidant-rich berry extracts including goji berry, pomegranate oil, hemp seed extract (rich in antioxidants and omegas), grape seed and sunflower seed oil. This is an oil I recommend to everyone, and you need just a drop or two to help lock in moisture. It won’t leave you shiny or greasy too.

I’ve not yet tried the mist, face cream or cleanser, but when I do, I will update you guys and this post! Also, note you can now find Mad Hippie products at Whole Foods too!
