Review: The Difference Between Us - Vilma Iris | Lifestyle Blogger

I’m cursed.

At least when it comes to finding Mr. Right.

I’m tired of men that only want one night stands or blind dates that are nothing but awkward and uncomfortable. I’m tired of avoiding inappropriate text messages and the constant disappointment of always meeting Mr. Wrong.

After all these years of dates that lead nowhere, I can admit that it’s me. I’m the problem. I’m shy and picky and cursed. Definitely cursed.

So I’ve decided two things.

The first? I’m giving up dating and relationships and men in general. Maybe, possibly, forever.

The second? I’m going to have to try harder to avoid Ezra Baptiste.

If I couldn’t hack it in the kiddy pool of dating, I certainly can’t swim in his deep end. He’s too successful. Too intense. He’s all man when I’m used to nothing but boys pretending to be grownups. He’s everything I’m afraid to want and so far out of my league we might as well be different species entirely.

So he’ll need to find a different artist to paint his mural. And a different graphic designer to help him with his website. He’ll need to find someone else to glare at and flirt with and kiss.

It can’t be me.

We’re too different.

The Difference Between Us
By Rachel Higginson

Review: The Difference Between Us

Crackling with tension and sizzling with off-the-charts chemistry, this is a book I thoroughly adored. From the very beginning, I was lost to Ezra and Molly. Lost to their story rife with disappointment and longing, reveling in the spark that burned brighter every time they were together.

But they couldn’t be more different.

Ezra Baptiste was enigmatic, successful—a famous restauranteur with impeccable taste but a long line of failed relationships.

Molly Maverick hadn’t been lucky in love either. She felt cursed when it came to finding the right guy. Professionally, things weren’t much better—her boss spent more time looking her up and down than listening to her social media and branding ideas.

And while she was shy, every time Ezra and she were in the same room, they couldn’t help but trade in well-slung insults. He was too maddening, rude and condescending.

But when they have to work together to throw a party for Killian and Vera, Molly sees another side to Ezra. He can be caring and thoughtful despite still being a complete enigma.

The more time they spend together, personally and professionally, the more fireworks of a different kind begin to burn.

Could someone like Ezra fall for someone like Molly? Could they cast aside their differences and yield to the growing desire they felt? And once real emotions were at stake, could it even last, or would it leave both of them worse off than when they started?

Once again Rachel Higginson delivers a special story full of feels and humor, full of that intangible magic we can only hope to find. With vibrant banter, red-hot tension and an all-consuming love story, the only downside is the huge book hangover you’ll have when you flip the final page.
